Bound for Glory

Original release german movie poster for the bio-drama that covers the early years of folk singer Woody Guthrie. The man is an american legend of course, but (as a reviewer on the IMDB pointed out correctly) he was also somebody who would leave his family behind in the middle of the Great Depression of the 1930s to go on the road for months or years on end. The movie is quite entertaining, but often too soft on the realities of the time. It's also darn slow. With David Carradine, Ronny Cox, Melinda Dillon, Regie Hal Ashby.
